End Quote: Politicians Hide Themselves Away
Today’s Daily Examiner end quote comes courtesy of the City Paper’s Brian Hickey, who made the unfortunate decision to run over to City Hall yesterday to watch Gov. Ed Rendell endorse Hillary Clinton for president. As expected, it was a real non-event that was more press-grabby than newsworthy. He summed up his visit this way:
These people are utterly shameless. After all, I went to a press conference, like I said, with an open mind, and all I found was a militarily controlled environment designed for a candidate to get “face time” with people who are good only for their money, yet disguised as a press event. I should’ve known better.
