Alycia Lane: Prof Says She Might Pop Up in Smaller Market Soon
Yesterday’s ending of embattled anchorprincess Alycia Lane’s time at CBS 3 came swiftly and coldly, with the requisite emotionless press release from station management and somber, measured newsreading from a shell-shocked Larry Mendte. It was an outcome that shouldn’t have surprised anybody.
Amid The Mighty Dan Gross and Regina Medina rubble, Jenice Armstrong got an interesting quote from La Salle communications professor and author of Inside Local Television News Richard Goedkoop, who speculated about what the future will hold for Lane.
Goedkoop told Armstrong that it could be “5 or 10 years” before she’ll be back in a market the size of Philadelphia. Pending the result of her April 3rd trial, however, Goedkoop says she could possibly catch on at a station in Nashville or Milwaukee:
“It won’t be a top-five market. It’ll probably be a top-20 market. You can’t have people going off on the deep end and then claim credibility and all the other things that are needed.”
Off on the Deep End sounds like a great title for an Alycia Lane unauthorized bio, if Goedkoop’s inclined to go that route. Somebody should.

I’m always amazed at how people believe everything they read. Think about what this 100 pound girl is accused of…decking a cop. Really? That tiny thing hit a cop? If that is true then that cop should be taken off the streets immediately. Who is she protecting if she can’t protect herself against Alycia? And whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? I hope they go after that station with everything they’ve got.

I’ll put a bit more faith into the police report and medical documentation than this discredited, unmasked self-serving newsmaker’s account at this point. The pivotal professional ethics clause was breached the second she commiserated with Gov. Rendell on this outrageously immoral personal matter. She will lose far more $ when faced with Rosen’s bills than she could possible gain. Plus, prior poor judgments will be fully aired in the courtroom. I suppose it is a shock to some people who are willing to accept any foul behaviors to learn that this is one profession where someone must possess integrity.
I dare say that was the most expensive epithet uttered in recent local history. That’s the price one pays for disrespecting members of a reputable community.

Philadelphia’s “Paris Hilton” needs to realize that she is not above the law and that she too has to respect authority. She is an anchorwoman not a President. Who the hell does she think she is? I am sure if they would have drug tested that party pig the authorities would have found more than just alcohol. If she would put the same amount of energy into making her relationships work as she does partying and causing trouble maybe she would not have had two failed marriages…

Let’s review. Wee hours of the morning, NYC, club district. Slow moving car followed by cab containing pinheads. Pinheads exit cab, confront occupants of slow moving car.
Occupants of slow moving car identify themselves as police officers and strongly suggest that pinheads get back in cab.
I’m no huge fan of cops, but I’d say you were just given a free pass and probably should get back in your cab and STFU. If pinheads had done so, case closed and no story. However, every asshole with a camera phone thinks they are Edward R. Murrow and is gonna start recording. Recording what?

If she would’ve hit a Chicago cop, her ass would grass. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,908231-1,00.html. This is just one of many stories. All you have to do is google Chicago cops. One example is they beat a guy that was in the hospital for a stab wound to the shoulder because he was not cooperating with them.
Anyways, Alycia Lane is an overrated skank. If she is convicted, she will be sentenced to prison as a violent felon. Hitting a cop is a class C felony, which is anywhere from 10-20 years in prison.
If she is found not guilty, she better win a civil suit against CBS 3, because these lawyers are really high priced. I don’t see her reporting the news in any top 50 market if she is found not guilty, but I am probably wrong on this. I honestly think she is playing with fire by not settling on a plea deal.

Funny how ALycia Lane used the dyke epithet since she was shcacking up with her news director susan schiller who is a bisexual. the two were having sleepovers at lane’s washington squaer apartment while Schiller went thru marital problems. Was Lane trying to cover up the fact that she has homosexual feelings?

The woman was late sending camera crews to the McGReevey scandal when it broke because–get this–she didn’t know it even happened until channel 2 in NYC called her and tipped her off and til Schiller saw the report on Channel 6.
