Does Sheldon Brown Hate Andy Reid?

Sheldon BrownAfter the Saints won on Sunday, Eagles cornerback Sheldon Brown told reporters that the team was playing “tight” for a good portion of the season, and said the reason was a byproduct of the coaching staff’s approach. Perhaps a lot of the confusion the remark has generated isn’t about what Brown meant exactly (so far, none of the usual Eagles beat parade members has offered a followup), but why he said it.

Given that a huge chunk of the Eagles fodder this week centered around Coach Reid’s interview about his sons’ drug problems, the timing seemed insensitive. And this isn’t the first time Brown has lobbed out a seemingly loaded statement for public dissection. Remember, it was Brown, along with running back Correll Buckhalter, who suggested that NFL coaches (in this case, their coach) are not subject to the same code of conduct policy that the players are.

So, what is Sheldon Brown’s problem? Did he not take the same media training course as everybody else on the team?

The Eagles problems are deep. First Andy Reid’s play calling sucks. His player evaluating skills are horrible and to be honest as a whole the team never spends the money to keep the pro bowl players that make a difference. For example T.O. look at Dallas now and look at Mcnabbs stats with TO. Reggie White? Look at Green bay when he arrived. Won the superbowl. We keep spending money on Correll Buckholder who has been hurt every year till this year. We trade our first round draft pick to non other then Dallas?? We could have drafted a top WR or cornerback or even LB. Look at the free agents for example Randy Moss? We could have given up a 2nd or 3 rd pick to get what the eagles lack. Kevin Curtis is ok but he didnt make defenses double him all year. Wake up Philly and get your heads out of your butts. Also Kevin Kolb?? Come on.

I have always been a Philadelphia Eagles fan and during the season it seems like players are always pointing fingers at the coaches, it’s embarrassing. Year after year we make terrible off-season moves, that make no sense what so ever. We get rid of Terrell Owens for Kevin Curtis? and the whole Correll Buckhalter situation, he has bad knees and he is NOT the future of the Eagles, look at what Brian Westbrook year after year and he does it quietly with no press attention. This year he had 2,000 total yards. We need to stop wasting money on buckhalter and go out build up the great defense that we were once known for and get WR that could draw some double teams to open up other receivers, such as Kevin Curtis. Finally I think Andy Reid needs to go. He is a decent coach but we need a young energetic coach that will interact with the players and that will know what to do in the off-season. Spending money on players that actually play isn’t a bad thing where as we seem to spend our money on Running Backs who are having knee surgery every year..

i have been n eagles fan since ive been born but i think that andy reid does need to ither do something with buckhalter and build a good defence or get out of philadelphia. i notcied that mcnabb is good when he has a good surrounding so help him get a good WR and let him work his way back to the top.
