Nutter Hires Big-Time Dem Campaign Manager Even Though He Doesn’t Actually Have to Campaign
Tricia Enright’s appointment as the new campaign manager for Michael Nutter was announced officially today. Enright, 40, has been a part of seemingly every high-profile Democratic enterprise in the past 15 years, including stints in the Clinton administration and the campaigns of John Kerry, Vermont governor Howard Dean (yee-ah!) and, most recently, Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell.
A 2003 Washington Post piece offered a pretty flattering and fascinating portrayal of her while she worked on Howard Dean’s locomotive — and, eventually, derailed — presidential bid. (WaPo said she speaks in “dude speak,” she’s longtime buddies with tiny Greek political wizard George Stephanopoulos, and she’s a hug-and-kiss-type person with everyone she meets.)
She just has to remember to keep Nutter away from Iowa.
