Dinner And A Movie (And A Dirty Dancing Dance Party) At La Peg

Watching Purple Rain and Dr. Strangelove under the stars sounds pretty good to me.

Peter Woolsey‘s newly Americanized restaurant, La Peg, just announced a summer movie series, and they’ve got a pretty good themed lineup. We’re talking Labyrinth, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Airplane, Dr. Strangelove, Dirty Dancing… And all outside, in the shadow of the Ben Franklin Bridge, in La Peg’s beer-and-seafood garden.

Things are kicking off this coming Wednesday with “A Tribute To 2016’s Lost Legends”–Labyrinth on June 22nd and Purple Rain on the 29th. The program then continues every Wednesday throughout the summer, with dinner available before and after at La Peg (go for the cheese curds, stay for the clam chowder and roasted chicken), and snacks being offered by chef Woolsey’s Seafood Shack (lobster rolls, fried clams, burgers and crab poutine) throughout.

The full schedule is pretty awesome. Check it out:

So, now that you have your Wednesday nights planned out for the rest of the summer, that’s one less thing you’ll have to worry about, right? We’ll see you there.
