Police Investigating Beer Bottle Thrown at Ryan Howard

Police are investigating after a fan allegedly threw a beer bottle at Ryan Howard during Saturday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Howard alerted a security guard when an aluminum Bud Light Lime bottle landed near his feet during his walk back to the dugout – he’d just grounded out in the ninth inning, the Inquirer reports.
“I’ve done too much in this town to have that kind of stuff,” ESPN said Howard told reporters Sunday. “If you want to yell out ‘You suck,’ that’s whatever. But when you start throwing stuff, that’s when stuff gets personal.”
The fan is still unidentified. An attendee who claims to have witnessed the incident from two rows back posted a photo to Twitter claiming to identify the alleged bottle-thrower. It’s gained 635 retweets and 200 likes.
Police denied to confirm to Philadelphia magazine whether or not the person in the photo is being investigated.
The Brewers beat the Phillies 6-3 on Saturday – the team’s eighth loss in nine games. (The Phillies rebounded against the Brewers on Sunday.)
Howard said it was the first time a fan has thrown something at him, according to the Inquirer.
