We’re Obsessed With Grad Hospital’s New Boutique

The new Maark Concept is nurturing home-grown talent.

Grad Hospital just got a brand-new, lust-worthy shopping destination: Maark Concept. This small, airy fashion haven is the brainchild of Ethan Nguyen of The Philly ShopsPia Panaligan and Melissa Choi of the brand Senpai + Kohai, Nicole Haddad of Lobo Mau, and Samantha Connors of VEXOT. Together, these four entrepreneurs combined their retail, merchandising and manufacturing knowledge to bring together a curated mix of designer brands and local talent.

Sure, you’ll find a sprinkling of mint-condition vintage and new Y-3, D&G, Helmut Lang, Alexander Wang and Maison Margiela (all from Nguyen’s personal collection of new and vintage gems). But what we’re really excited about is the selection of up-and-coming Philadelphia brands like Supra Endura, Lobo Mau, Senpai + Kohai, sans marque | sans marque, Onliest, Tim Eads, Gemisis by BSC Designs, and VEXOT – many of which are designed by the co-owners. You’ll be hard-pressed to find these emerging brands in any other store in this city, so go here if you’re looking for wardrobe pieces no one else is wearing.
