Your Wish-List Cheat Sheet: What Shoppist Editors Want from Santa

What's on our lust lists.

Writing about shopping and style all day makes whittling down our holiday wish lists pretty tough. After all, we see so much stuff all year round – how to choose our favorites? But we have (after plenty of hemming and hawing), and below, we share our (wildly varied) picks with you.

[1] Chairloom chair, Prices vary.
This local company finds amazing antique/vintage chairs and then reupholsters them in whatever dreamy, wacky, gorgeous colors or patterns you want. This particular one was made for a Canadian client who asked for the piece to be upholstered in her collection of Moroccan rugs. I just want to curl up in it.

[2] Felt + Fat marbleized plates, from $22.
This Fishtown-based duo makes the most gorgeous dishware. I’ve long loved these gray plates, which look like slices of marble.

[3] Kelly Wearstler ‘head trip’ key chain, $195.
Yes, it’s a lot for a key chain, but it’s an accessory you keep with you literally all the time. So why not make it fabulous?

[4] Bario-Neal rose gold crescent diamond ring, from $2,003.
I’ve loved this ring forever. It just feels so special. My husband and I are celebrating 10 years together next year … maybe a joint Christmas/anniversary gift?

[5] Kevia rose-gold-plated ear cuff and earring, $19.
I love these tiny squiggles, each a tiny bit different from the other.

[6] Sophia Webster shoes, $695.
Every pair of shoes she makes makes me happy.

[7] Dylanlex ‘Falkor’ necklace, $980.
I’m obsessed with every single piece by Philly-based Drew Ginsberg, but I covet this one the most.

[8] Bella Freud ‘1970’ candle, $60.49.
Because I’m in love with (almost) everything having to do with the ‘70s, and wouldn’t it go perfectly with that chair?

[1] IRO Ashville Leather Jacket, $1,195.
Santa, please? Is any closet really ever complete without a powder blue leather jacket? Is it not the most perfect combination of tough and tender you’ve ever seen?

[2] Tom Ford Lips & Boys lipstick in ‘Flynn,’ $35.
Because one can never have too many lipsticks, and a soft pink hue is always a good idea.

[3] Chloé ‘Carlina’ sunglasses, $345.
For someone who’s never splurged on sunnies out of fear of losing them, these hippie-with-a-twist shades make me want to change my ways.

[4] Frida Kahlo pillow, $19.84.
Frida Kahlo is my spirit animal. I love any rendering that shows her beauty and melancholy spirit. She is more than just a unibrow!

[5] Ted Baker ‘Florany’ matinee purse, $149.
Show me anything in cotton-candy colors, and I will likely love it. Show me anything Ted Baker in cotton-candy colors, and I need it now.

[6] Iridescent Nike Sneakers, $209.
Nothing says street chic quite like a cool pair of sneakers to liven up any outfit. Plus, holographic things make my soul happy.

[7] Nastygal x Kat Maconie ‘Elise’ Satin Platforms, $180.
These perfect little platforms were made for me and my short legs. There are few outfits that these wouldn’t enhance (maybe I’ll leave them at home when I go to the gym but promise to wear them everywhere else).

[1] Comme des Garçons x Converse sneakers, $125.
As a longtime fan of CDG and a former Converse connoisseur in my youth, I’ve had my eye on these for quite some time. They’re comfortable, chic and add a little pop of color to my otherwise monochrome wardrobe.

[2] Etsy Vintage fringe leather jacket, from $55.
It’s amazing what kind of old-school treasures you can find on Etsy — I stand by the rule that everyone should have an effortlessly cool leather jacket in their wardrobe.

[3] Urb Clothing melting tights, $65.
Who hasn’t wanted to look like a melting ice cream cone at least once in their life? Jokes aside, these tights are as rad as rad gets and will make you the center of attention anywhere.

[4] Céline transparent cat eye sunglasses, $299.
I’ve never been a sunglasses gal, but maybe I’d become one with these shades in my arsenal.

[5] Ohhio giant chunky knit cardigan, $475.
Talk about a sweater made with love! The price is almost justifiable considering the work that was put into this knitwear. I don’t think I’d ever want to take this off all winter.

[6] Issey Miyake bao bao bag, $985.
I can’t resist a bag with good construction and functionality to hold all of my crap. Really digging Miyake’s futuristic designs.

[7] Muji A5 6mm rule notebooks, from $9.
Every writer has a notebook of choice. Mine is this baby.

[8] Le Labo Bergamote 22, $160.
Since my mother bought this handmade perfume for me after a trip to San Francisco, it’s been my signature scent — a musky citrus that makes you smell like a rainforest.
