Guild Hall Brewing to Close After Just Under Five Months

Jenkintown’s Guild Hall Brewing Company will close after its Halloween event on Saturday, October 31st. The brewpub opened in mid-June and was open under 5 months. The building, which was a onetime Rolls Royce showroom was completely refurbished in a construction project that saw the brewpub open a good sixteen months beyond what was originally projected.

In a letter posted to Facebook, owners Owen Hutchins and wife Jennifer McGuire hoped people would come out Friday and Saturday for “a proper sendoff.”

Guild Hall’s letter to customers

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of the Guild Hall Brewing Company. Our Halloween event on Saturday, October 31 will be our wrap party.

We hope you’ll all come on Friday and Saturday nights and give the Guild Hall a proper sendoff.

We don’t know what the future holds, but we live in hope that this is not goodbye forever!

Thank you to all the guests and friends who made it wonderful while it lasted. Thank you, too, to our incredible, loyal staff. We love you and we will miss you.

Kegs will be available for a limited time. For info on the business, please contact jennym@guidlhallbrewing.com. For info on beer, please contact owenh@guildhallbrewing.com.
