The Broad Street Run Now Has an App

Not only did the Broad Street Run get a shiny new website this year (it’s so much better than the old one, don’t you think?), race organizers also just launched a new app.

The free Blue Cross Broad Street Run app includes lots of smart info for runners and spectators for Sunday’s race. The Runner section includes real-time alerts, weather forecasts, a bib lookup database, and an FAQ, which has nuggets like where to park and how to get to the starting area. Spectators can use the Results tab to track runners in real time; you can search for a runner by name or bib number and add them to the tracker.

The Maps tab is the other useful section. It includes full-color maps of the course, starting line, corrals and finish area—much easier than lugging the paper versions with you on race day.

Download the app for for iOS and Android.
