Petit Jardin en Ville: Old City’s New Parisian Flower Shop/Wedding Florist
Le Petit Jardin opens Friday, May 2 in Old City.
Since we (unfortunately) don’t foresee a Parisian getaway happening anytime in the near future, we can’t wait to take a trip to Old City’s newest flower shop, Petit Jardin en Ville, when it opens on Friday, May 2.
“My husband is French and I moved [to France] just before we married,” says Claudia Roux, who owns the shop with her husband Vincent, and who learned floral design while living in Paris. “Parisian style for me takes its cues from nature, incorporating lush greenery among the flowers and letting each flower speak for itself. It’s all about simplicity.”

After moving back to Philadelphia and participating in markets like The Franklin Flea, the Rouxes decided it was time to find a permanent home. “We fell in love with the look and feel of Old City,” says Claudia, “and felt this would be a perfect place to bring our love of French garden antiques and florals together.”
One step into this French-inspired florist you’ll almost forget you’re in Philly. The cozy shop will be filled to the brim with colorful blooms of all varieties, plus furniture, pots and vases, and unique gifts imported from France.
And of course, the good news for brides: It’s not just a pretty flower shop! Along with gardening services, Petit Jardin en Ville will also offer full event design for weddings, so that if you fall head over heels in love with the inspiration you find in the shop, all you have to do is hire the couple, and they’ll translate their aesthetic into gorgeous floral arrangements for your wedding.
