* A little bit of a surprise that the schedule-makers didn’t put Jackson’s return to Philly in prime time. Promises to be a highly-rated affair nonetheless.
“There’s gonna be something special about them two games,” Jackson said in a recent television appearance, via the Washington Post.
The Eagles still ended up with four games under the lights — two on Sunday night and two on Monday night.
* Chip Kelly‘s group will be in Dallas for Thanksgiving. The Eagles are 4-1 all-time on Turkey Day. They last played on Thanksgiving in 2008.
* Though the Eagles face a number of quality opponents, their strength of schedule actually ranks 20th (same as last year) with an opponent win percentage of .479. Last season’s opponent win percentage was .496. The Redskins (3-13), Texans (2-14) and Jaguars (4-12) are the major reasons the average is so low.
* The league added a twist to the flex scheduling this season. In previous years, games could be flexed to Sunday night after Week 10. Two additional games can now be flexed between Weeks 5-10. A cross-flexing option has also been introduced.
“Cross flexing” means switching a few games between CBS and FOX to bring potentially under-distributed games to wider audiences.
