We posted about a slew of free fitness options earlier this year, but since there are always fun new workouts cropping up, we’ve decided to make the whole free-workout thang a semi-regular feature that we’ll update seasonally. So here you have it: free workouts every day of the week this spring.

Monday

What: Free group run with Athleta Philly // Girls on the Run hosts these two-to-three-mile jogs along the River Trail, which are weekly through the end of April.

Where: Athleta, 1722 Walnut Street, Philadelphia.

When: Mondays from 6 to 7 p.m.

Tuesday

What: Free group runs and stair workouts in Manayunk // The Wall Cycling Studio offers free outdoor workouts after several morning and evening classes throughout the week. The “Motivational Mile” runs include straight-up running and the occasional stair workouts. You’re welcome to join the spin class ahead of time (first class is free, then $15 for drop-ins), but the free post-spin workouts are open to everyone.

Where: Meet at The Wall Cycling Studio, 100 Levering Street, Manayunk.

When: Meet Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. (after the 45-minute 5:30 spin class). Runs also take place on Wednesdays after the 5:15 a.m. class and Thursdays after the 6:15 a.m. class.

Wednesday

What: All-Levels Workout at the Art Museum // Philadelphians are waking up at the crack of dawn for the free a.m. workouts at the Art Museum steps, courtesy of grassroots fitness group the November Project. The workouts change weekly (expect circuits, H.I.I.T. workouts, timed races, etc.), but are suitable for all fitness levels. The group meets in pretty much every weather condition.

Where: Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia.

When: Wednesdays at 6:25 a.m. Workouts typically last about 40 minutes.

Thursday

What: Sweat Fitness Run Club and Happy Hour // Meet at Sweat Fitness in South Philly, do a three-to-four-mile group run, and end at Jet Wine Bar, where you’ll get drink specials. Participants are given passes to try a free group-fitness class at Sweat.

Where: Sweat Fitness South Philly, 1509 East Passyunk Avenue, Philadelphia.

When: Thursdays at 6 p.m.

Friday

What: Hot Vinyasa Yoga // The local yoga collective Philly Yoga Factory, which operates out of Center City’s Bikram Yoga Philadelphia, holds a pay-what-you-want hot yoga class on Fridays during your lunch hour. Note: The studio has showers.

Where: Bikram Yoga Philadelphia, 1520 Sansom Street, Philadelphia.

When: Fridays from noon to 1 p.m.

Saturday

What: Yoga on the Banks // Yogi Molly O’Neill, whom you’ll typically find indoors at Sweat Fitness and Dhyana Yoga, teaches free outdoor classes at the Schuylkill Banks on Saturday mornings. Classes are free but donations are accepted. Bring your own mat.

Where: By the Schuylkill River at 25th and Locust.

When: Saturdays at 11 a.m.

Sunday

What: Yoga on the Pier // Dhyana Yoga’s Malik Wilson teaches free outdoor yoga at Race Street Pier. Bring your own mat.

Where: Race Street Pier, Columbus Boulevard and Race Street. In case of rain, classes are held at Level 1 Fitness (110 North Second Street).

When: Sundays and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. (Note: The official schedule lists it at 9 a.m., but Malik tells me that while people start gathering  at 9, they don’t typically start yoga until 9:30. So do with that information what you will.) Also Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays at 7 a.m.; and Thursdays at 6 p.m.
