Being newly engaged means lots of focus on your new ring. Everyone from your close friends and family to coworkers and elevator-mates will be grabbing your hand to take a look, which means that not only will your ring be in close-up view for the next several weeks, but your nails will be, too.

Getting a mani once a week is an expense that we’re guessing not too many soon-to-be brides planning their dream wedding (or all you soon-to-be engaged ladies out there who feel like that moment might juuuust be right around the bend) want to add to their list (plus, who has time for that?), so when we found this Vogue roundup on fast nail fixes for the newly—or almost!—engaged, we knew we had to share it.

While we agree that having a good, sturdy nail file on hand is important to maintain inspection-worthy nails, a diamond one seems rather excessive (and Dior nail polish remover, really?)—but this is a great list of must-have products and treatments for not only the soon-to-be engaged girl trying to keep her nails in top-notch shape, but for the bride-to-be’s grooming regiment before the Big Day. (Some gorg nail polish colors—some classic, some of the moment—are in there, too.)

Check it out here. What are your at-home-mani tricks and secrets?
