Corbett’s Legal Bills on the Rise

The governor is continually enmeshed in litigation.

The Inquirer reports that Gov. Tom Corbett’s law-related expenses are piling up, thanks in part to his decision to challenge the NCAA sanctions against Penn Sate. “In all, records show, the administration has spent at least $6.4 million since 2012 on outside law firms, either defending or pushing its agenda in those and three other controversial matters. And the total grows by the month.” Corbett officials said that spending on outside law firms has decreased two years in a row since he took office.
