Pulse: Style Scene: April’s Finds: Openings: Grow Up

Urban Jungle started as a business that maintains green city spaces, but has recently blossomed into a 3,600-square-foot gardening center in South Philly. Owner Curt Alexander and his team still provide all the same services (irrigation system installation; planning and maintenance of roofs, decks, window boxes and stoops), but now they sell indoor and outdoor plants and flowers; vertical gardens (pictured); containers in all colors, materials and shapes; potting soil and tools; plus pretty extras like alfresco bistro tables, wall art and terrariums. And like the building UJ is housed in, all the goods are as eco-responsible as possible.
