Taste Daily: Dining on the Cheap: Snockey’s Oyster and Crab House

I lived in Queen Village for a year and never stepped into the venerable Second Street fish house, Snockey’s. But this recent eGullet discussion of my favorite briny bivalve drew me in. The place is casual and brightly lit. There’s no fancy mignonette sauce like at Ansill or Pub & Kitchen. But I enjoyed freshly shucked Chincoteagues for 75 cents apiece during a recent “Clammy Hour” and a pint of Flying Fish’s extra pale ale for just 2 bucks.
