Where’s the best place in town for eyebrow shaping?

Where’s the best place in town for eyebrow shaping? When I get
my thick, silky black brows waxed, the technician takes too much away. Help! —Hairy and Harried

You’ve come to the right place, H&H—the women on staff here are obsessed with our brows. We’re devotees of the Brow Bar at the Powder Room (this year’s Best of Philly winner), where Ani Proodian meticulously whips brows into shape. Don’t be surprised if she busts out a ruler, and don’t be shy about asking for a prosthetic set—you’re not the only over-tweezer out there (13023 Bustleton Avenue, 215-969-0661, thepowderroomonline.biz). Melanie Engle at Adolf Biecker is another staff favorite. She splits her time between Biecker’s Center City and Strafford locations, so call ahead to book an appointment (see adolfbiecker.com). But really, any of our area’s day spas (more so than quickie in-and-out nails-and-wax combo joints) should be able to shape your set—just be clear about exactly what you want and any skin sensitivities or allergies you have, so they use the best products for your skin type.
