The Eagles face their toughest test of the early season as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4:25 at Lincoln Financial Field. We’ll periodically update this thread throughout the game with highlights and drive summaries. Feel free to jump in the comments below.

7:21 – A final from the Linc: The Eagle clobber the Steelers, 34-3, and enter the bye week at 3-0.

7:12 – Rodney McLeod intercepts Roethlisberger in the endzone. His pass was intended for Darrius Heyward-Bey. 4:44 left in the game.

6:58 – The Eagles stop the Steelers again on fourth down. Opponents are now zero-for-five on fourth down attempts this year. The defense has been solid for the majority of the game.

6:51 – Carson Wentz has hit the 300-yard passing mark for the first time in his career. He has 301 yards as of now.

6:43 – The fans are giving the Eagles a standing ovation at the end of the third quarter. Eagles take a 34-3 lead and will have the ball to start the final quarter.

6:36 – Kenjon Barner runs it in from eight yards out, and the Eagles keep scoring. They’re now up 34-3 with 1:52 left in the third.

6:31 – Fletcher Cox strips the ball out of Roethlisberger’s hand, and Brandon Graham recovers.

6:21 – Wendell Smallwood runs it from a yard out for his first career NFL touchdown. Sturgis makes the extra point and the Eagles extend their lead over the Steelers, 27-3, with 5:45 left in the third quarter.

6:19 – Haven’t seen a ton of Ryan Mathews so far this game:

6:16 – Eli Rogers, one of Pittsburgh’s receivers, injured one of his toes on the last Steelers drive and is out for the rest of the game.

6:13 – Sproles moves into the top-1o in career all-purpose yards in NFL history. He joins a pretty good group of players:

6:12 – Video of the Sproles touchdown catch:

5:59 – Wentz connects with Sproles on third down and he runs in for a 73-yard touchdown. Eagles lead, 20-3, with 12:54 left in the 3rd quarter.

5:57 – Josh has some first half observations as the second half begins.

5:55 – Lawrence Timmons has been taken to the hospital with a shin injury. His day is done:

5:47 – Notable halftime stats for the Eagles:

Carson Wentz: 18/25 for 183 yards and a touchdown.

Kenjon Barner: Two carries for 16 yards.

Wendell Smallwood: Two carries for 12 yards.

Darren Sproles: Five receptions for 55 yards.

Brent Celek: Two catches for 37 yards.

Dorial Green-Beckham: Three catches for 33 yards.

Jordan Matthews: One catch for 12 yards and a touchdown.

Fletcher Cox: Four total tackles and one sack.

Malcolm Jenkins: Five total tackles.

5:41 – It’s halftime at the Linc. The Eagles have controlled the majority of this game, and lead the Steelers, 13-3. They’ll also get the ball to start the third quarter.

5:35 – Ramon Foster, the Steelers’ starting left guard, has a chest injury. His return is questionable.

5:25 – Sturgis hits a 38-yard field goal try to give the Eagles a 13-3 lead with 2:25 to go in the first half. The Eagles have scored on all three of their drives so far today.

5:20 – Wentz continues to make history:

5:17 – So far, the two teams have combined for 289 yards passing and 16 yards rushing. An aerial game for sure.

5:13 – Boswell makes a 40-yard attempt to put the Steelers on the board. Eagles still lead, 10-3, with 7:40 left in the first half.

5:11 – Video of the Wentz touchdown to Matthews:

5:08 – Lawrence Timmons is running into the locker room. That’s four defensive players for the Steelers to keep an eye out for. It’s a shin injury and he’s probable to return.

5:04 – Wentz connects with Jordan Matthews on a 12-yard pass to give the Eagles a 10-0 lead over Pittsburgh. That was a 12-play drive.

5:02 – Robert Golden is doubtful to return, while Jarvis Jones went to the locker room. Ryan Shazier on the sidelines for the Steelers.

4:57 – We’ve finished the first quarter, as the Eagles lead the Steelers, 3-0. Eagles still driving on offense right at midfield.

4:52 – Ryan Shazier’s back on the field. Injury was on the right knee he injured against Washington in the season opener, but he’s fine.

4:50 – Markus Wheaton has had two big drops for the Steelers early on in this game. Almost had a touchdown on the first drive for Pittsburgh.

4:43 – Video of the Logan field goal block:

4:40 – Caleb Sturgis hits a 29-yard field goal try to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead with 5:29 left in the opening quarter. They’ve scored on each of their opening drives this season.

4:37 – Ryan Shazier on the sidelines for the Steelers. Would be a big loss on their defense. On the next play, Darren Sproles catches a Wentz pass for 40 yards. That was the longest play on offense so far for the Eagles this season.

4:35 – Bennie Logan with a big block on a 36-yard attempt by Chris Boswell. Run defense was strong, but the weakness is still in the secondary. Carson Wentz and the offense take over on the 26-yard line.

4:25 – Steelers won the coin toss and elect to receive. Game is underway.

4:23 – Malcolm Jenkins and Ron Brooks protest the national anthem once again. Steven Means and Marcus Smith do not after protesting last week.

4:12 – Fletcher Cox, Brent Celek, and Darren Sproles are today’s captains for the Eagles.
