Making Sense Of the Eagles Inactives

After missing two consecutive games, Jason Peters is active for the Eagles today and will start at left tackle. Sam Bradford, Ryan Mathews, Denzel Rice, Emmanuel Acho, Josh Andrews, Tanner Hawkinson and Brandon Bair are inactive.

With Bradford out, Mark Sanchez will start at quarterback and Thad Lewis will be active for the first time this season. Kenjon Barner will be available with Mathews sidelined, while Darren Sproles will likely play more snaps.

Dennis Kelly, who started at right tackle the last two weeks, and Julian Vandervelde are the two backup offensive linemen. Ed Reynolds, who was promoted to the roster from the practice squad on Friday, is also active.

As for the Buccaneers, tight end Austin Seferian–Jenkins and guard Ali Marpet are among the inactives. Wide receiver Vincent Jackson and defensive end Jacquies Smith, however, are available.
