It’s not exactly LeSean McCoy vs. Osi Umenyiora.

But it’s June 28, so it’s something.

Giants punter Steve Weatherford appeared on WFAN recently and took a jab at the Eagles quarterbacks, according to NJ.com. Weatherford said he wouldn’t want Tim Tebow taking any snaps for his team and then weighed in on Mark Sanchez and Sam Bradford.

“I’m gonna give you a Ferrari that maybe won’t be running all the time, or I’m giving you a nice Cadillac sedan,” he said. “It’s not the fastest but you know what you’re going to get out of it.

“Bradford can go zero to 60 in three seconds. But you don’t know if he’s going to start up some days.”

Asked about the possibility of Bradford getting an extension, Weatherford added: “Good luck with that. … Chip Kelly will get himself in serious trouble if they get an extension for that guy and he gets hurt? He’s done.”

In a Week 17 matchup that had no playoff implications last season, Sanchez went 23-for-36 for 292 yards, two touchdowns and an interception against the Giants.

Really, nothing Weatherford said is inaccurate, but that’s unlikely to matter when the Giants come to town Oct. 19 for a Monday  night matchup.
