Tom Gamble has a new home.

The former Eagles vice president of player personnel is back in San Francisco as a senior personnel executive with the 49ers, the team announced.

“Tom is one of the most experienced, knowledgeable and respected personnel men in the business,” 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement. “He played an instrumental role in our personnel department from 2005-2012 and is well versed in our system having played a role in its development.

“This familiarity, along with his many strengths, will be tremendous assets as we prepare for free agency and the draft. It is great to have Tom back with the 49ers.”

Gamble previously spent eight seasons in San Francisco before joining the Eagles, where he was fired by Howie Roseman on Dec. 31. Now, Roseman is out of personnel and on the cap/contracts side, while Gamble is with another team.

MCCOY MAKES THE ROUNDS

LeSean McCoy is at the Super Bowl making the rounds.

He was asked about his contract status and future with the team. From the Inquirer:

“I know how hard it is to keep a team together and I want to be part of this team. But I don’t want to take less money,” McCoy said. “I want to figure a way to make it happen [where] we’re all together.”
