Here is the injury report for Sunday’s game in Arizona:

OUT

WR Brad Smith (groin)

QUESTIONABLE

C Jason Kelce (hernia), LB Mychal Kendricks (calf), RB Darren Sproles (knee)

PROBABLE

RB Chris Polk (hamstring), LB DeMeco Ryans (groin), CB Jaylen Watkins (wrist)

Seeing Kelce listed as questionable is a bit of surprise. He is just a month removed from sports hernia surgery. The recovery period is typically 5-8 weeks. Chip Kelly joked that he was just looking for Kelce “to tie his shoes right” this week as he gets re-acclimated. Despite the designation, it seems highly unlikely that Kelce will make his return Sunday.

Kelce, Kendricks and Sproles were all listed as full participants Friday after being limited the previous two days. Keep in mind that Wednesday and Thursday are the more rigorous practice days.

Kendricks sat out individual drills for a spell Thursday during the portion of training open to reporters. When he re-joined the action he lined up alongside DeMeco Ryans.

“He won’t play this week,” said one of the defensive players. Others in the locker room weren’t as certain. Kendricks did not address the media this week.

There have been no indications that Matthew Tucker will be called up from the practice squad. One teammate we talked to expects Sproles to be a game-time decision. If he can’t go, Polk will be the primary backup and Trey Burton will be the emergency back as he was against the Giants.
