Report: Peterson, Gerhart Out

The Eagles will be facing a banged-up Vikings rushing attack, according to a report.

Per Sean Jensen of K-TWIN in Minnesota, the Vikings will be without both Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart.

#Vikings players informed tonight that RB Adrian Peterson will not play against the #Eagles.

And #Vikings RB Toby Gerhart also not expected to play, which means lots of Matt Asiata and even Joe Banyard.

Matt Asiata (5-11, 209) had three carries for 9 yards last year, but does not have a rushing attempt this season. The second-year back out of Utah is more power runner than speedster, according to this NFL.com profile.

Banyard (5-11, 205) does not have an NFL carry. He spent 2012 on the Vikings’ practice squad.
