Eagles-Vikings Injury Report

Here is the Eagles’ injury report for Sunday’s road game in Minnesota.

Doubtful: LB Najee Goode (hamstring), S Earl Wolff (knee)

Probable: CB Brandon Boykin (hip), CB Cary Williams (hamstring).

Williams popped up on the report Thursday after apparently hurting his hamstring during practice. The fact that he is probable suggests it’s not a significant injury, but it’s something to keep an eye on Sunday nonetheless.

Wolff was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday. He described himself as a game-time decision this week, but admitted that he wasn’t quite at 100 percent yet. Patrick Chung is in line for another start opposite Nate Allen.

Boykin was listed as a full participant all week.

As for the Vikings, all eyes are on the running back position. Adrian Peterson (foot) and Toby Gerhart (hamstring) are both listed as questionable. If they can’t go, Minnesota would likely turn to third-stringer Matt Asiata, who has zero carries this year and only three lifetime.

Hope the Eagles prepare for AP as a game time go…

    • Mr. Magee

They will. But he ain’t goin.

  • Sean

Annnndddd… Sean Lee is OUT for Cowboys vs. Green Bay. Giggity.

    • Will

And the good news keeps rolling in…Aaron Rodgers might play Sunday…

      • BlindChow

ESPN says Rodgers is unlikely out but Eddie Lacy returned to practice today.

        • Will

Cool a Cowgirl loss and an Eagle’s win…a 2 game cushion…Life is Good!

        • cliff henny

          run angry Eddie…run angry!

      • cliff henny

as bad as that defense was Monday, might not even matter who plays qb, even as bad as Flynn looked. how much better/worse would Brady looked over mccown?

      • pjcostello

No, he’s out. Matt Flynn is starting in Dallas.

    • Goombachiphi

Flynn has gone from massively overrated to slightly underrated in a little over a year. That’ll be a close game.

    • JofreyRice

good player, but he’s hurt a lot.

    • Token

Cant imagine Dallas losing to GB without Rodgers.

  • cliff henny

why in the world would Minne play AP? not even sure i’d want him in the state, let alone in stadium as game time decision. said same thing about shady last year.

    • Chris

thats my opinion too. out of the race, star RB isn’t 100% – no reason in the world to rush him back. I know he is probably itching to get in and keep working on his numbers but it just doesn’t make sense for them.

      • cliff henny

if i’m ziggy wulf, firing frazier on the sidelines, and throwing APs helmet into the stands if he tries putting him in. this isnt a 2nd yr qb needing live reps. rbs only have so many hits in them, why waste them.

        • BlindChow

this isnt a 2nd yr qb needing live reps.

          Like RG3? Heh heh.

          • OregonDucker

You mean RG3=AP= Injured Reserve? or RG3=AP= out to save next season?

          • GEAGLE

RG3 as in, the over rated, 1st read and take off fraud!!!
Sooner skins decide to cut their losses!develope cousins! and move RGme to Safety the better off they will be :)

They traded their entire future for their QB who has 30 games of experience under his belt and regresses weekly lol..FOles allowed us to draft Cox,Kendricks, curry, lane(skins traded away last years first), and a first rounder this year….it must absolute SUCK to be Daniel Synder at league owners meetings…I wonder if all the owners laugh at him? “They are all gona laugh at you” :)

          • anon

I hate rgiii bc he’s a skin and he’s immature, but that said he did put up the best rookie numbers ever last year, had no off-season which is huge for a sophmore player, o lone sucks, oc sucks, only on real wr, defense is terrible. Actually starting to sound like eagles last year

          • GEAGLE

I have NO respect for, look at your first read and take off because it’s not sustainable way to successfully play QB in the he NFL, so I was literally not the least bit impressed with his rookie season, nice numbers, but unsustainable fools gold..what good is being successful playing the game that way when it’s just a mirage that’s giving you a false sense of security and stunting your growth as an NFL QB?
I watched his last 3 games closely and they are calling easy, basic throws for him, REALly DUMBING it DOWN, yet he regresses every week….maybe if he didn’t have so much success playing the wrong way, he would have developed trt he skills required to sustain great QB play in the NFL…
last season awesome numbers crippled him more then they helped him

          • Johnny Domino

            You mean RG 3-10?

Not mine, wish I could remember where I heard it. Maybe Steve Czaban?

          • G_WallyHunter

            Or Cousins? Ha

        • Chris

10/10 would pay to see this live

      • macadood

he wants to outrush McCoy for the season. If he doesn’t play this game he’s done.

  • pjcostello

I would rather face the known quantity than the unknown one. A running back isn’t going to beat the Eagles, it would take a concerted team effort.

  • morgan c

    Peterson will play.

    • Goombachiphi

    • macadood

I’m pretty sure he will too from what I’m reading. I doubt he’ll be at 100% though so he may be missing some explosiveness, but still better for the Vikes than no AP

  • Clamdigger

Cary is a animal THUG! As if there was any doubt he would be on the field sunday

  • Michael Myers

off topic – anyone else unable to listen to podcasts?

  • cliff henny

jerry jones strikes again. he just gave sandrick 4.5m guarenteed in both ’17 and ’18. i’d have an issue with that in baseball, let alone football…lot can change in 4 or 5 yrs.

    • GEAGLE

What the…will he EVER learn from any of his mistakes? Say what you want about Howie a few years ago, he sure doesn’t seem to be repeating mistakes of the past…I think we dealt with the rough trail and error portion of Howies career and if Howie can maintain his level these past two years! which he achieved with two different personel departments(IMPRESSIVE) then Lurie is going to start looking Brilliant…I don’t worry about our draft, with Chip here I believe it will be a brilliant draft…but I’m so curious to see what Howie does in free agency now that he has his foundation in place

      • Brian

Jeff Lurie is the best owner in Eagles history.

        • Weapon Y

He’s a godsend compared to Norman Braman

      • theycallmerob

This one’s for you, geags. From McLane’s column:

Cary Williams is the oldest player in the Eagles secondary. He said he has tried to nurture all of the younger defensive backs, but safety Earl Wolff has been a special project for the 29-year-old cornerback. “I guess you could say I gravitate to him because I see his potential, his work ethic and what he puts in,” Williams said. “I think he has greatness written on him if he keeps applying himself and plays with passion and fire and with a chip on his shoulder.

        • GEAGLE

MY man! Thanks Rob…you KNOW I appreciate that!!

I’m telling you right now, fans look at starting CB like an improveable offseason position, but Chip thinks really highly of Cary and Brad and that they will be the CBs we go to war with the next few years…
Cary spent a lot of time around GREAT safeties! He would know what one looks like. Hopefully he stays on Wolff hard!

    • Andy124

How did this guy get rich? Has he always been this brain dead or is he just going really senile really fast? Probably didn’t realize where he put that decimal point.
