Eagles-Cardinals Injury Report

Earl WolffHere is the Eagles’ injury report for Sunday’s game against Arizona:

Out: S Earl Wolff (knee)

Probable: S Colt Anderson (ankle), CB Bradley Fletcher (pectoral), LB Mychal Kendricks (knee), LB Jake Knott (hamstring).

As you can see, the Eagles exit the bye in pretty good shape.

We spoke to Wolff earlier this week. He explained that he still has some swelling in his knee which is preventing him from having full range of motion. He is hoping to be ready next week for the Lions game but there is no guarantee there. Patrick Chung will start opposite Nate Allen at safety.

All signs point to Fletcher playing against Arizona. The corner said he practiced without limitation this week. This is a big addition to the Eagles secondary, especially considering the size and caliber of receivers they are facing this week.

Kendricks will be back in the lineup as well after sitting out the Redskins game.

Jason Peters and Michael Vick have been regulars on the injury report. This week, however, they were not even listed. Vick is expected to be the No. 2 behind Nick Foles Sunday.

Any chance you guys could get some “catch-up” update pieces w three of the more hyped practice squad players — Joe Kruger, Michael Bamiro and Travis Long … all three of them play important positions (de, ot, and olb) and have great H/W/S sets … really just wondering what they are learning from the position coaches, biggest changes from college, sports science benefits, strength and condition benefits .. Is Krueger adding weight? etc…. what are they asked to do as practice squad players

    • Adam

That’s a great idea. I wonder if the media has access to them.

      • GEAGLE

Yeah I would really appreciate some intel on them! especially now that our reporters don’t have to spend their questions on the daily QB musical chairs

    • Richard Colton

They put Kruger on the fake IR, correct? Is he allowed to practice? or just drink smoothies?

      • GEAGLE

Nah…he can only lift and drink smoothies

        • theycallmerob

to be honest, that’s all I wanted from him this year anyway. Let Huls mold that lanky kid for 18 months, he’ll turn into a monster. Calais Campbell 2.0

          • GEAGLE

No complaints from me mate…works for me!!..if he really develops into a Bennie Logan quality 3rd round pick or a Wolff type of 5th round pick like some experts said, then he can make the most under rated front 7 in the NFL even scarier…really like his potential…hopeful fully he can be that Margus hunt type that I wanted

    • theycallmerob

      Brilliant.
As a follow-up, I’d love to hear from some of the assistant coaches too, particularly the new position guys getting some of the credit for improvements in guys like Thornton and Curry (Azz), Cole and Graham (McGovern, but love Minter too), and the Allen/Wolff duo (Lovett).
Maybe after the season, an All-22 film session with Stoutland and Duce.

      • GEAGLE

Minter is probably my favorite to listen to
        ..
Stout reminds me of “ellias” from “person of interest” lol

It’s good to have Fletcher back for this game. Roc did a good job during the last couple but Fletcher’s game is a bit more complete. Eagles defense is the difference maker for this game.

    • GEAGLE

It’s even more important to get him back considering he has experience matching up against Fitzy. Cary has only matched up with Fitz once, so it’s nice to have someone experienced guarding him back

  • GEAGLE

Who is healthy down the stretch plays a major role in how NFL seasons play out…if we can maintain this type of good health, we will have a chance to win some games down the stretch

  • Bukester

Had a chat with a colleague-I stand by it-Fitz is the best receiver in the league. Megatron is tall therefore great but Fitz has the best hands. Dude scares the crap out of me. AZ has never had a great team. It’s Friday and we know that they are gonna hit him all game long and there’s nuffin we can do about It . He has 2 td’s already. We can still win but that’s where we start

    • GEAGLE

Our defense doesn’t automatically give up TDs..and sure Fitz may be better pound for pound, but Id rather face Fitz then Calvin Any day

      • usmcnole

Unfortunately we have to face both…

        • GEAGLE

And then a dose of Brandon Marshall and Dez Bryant for dessert!!

We are about to find out a TON about where this team is. How good this front 7 really is? This secondary is facing MAJOR tests the rest of the way…

want ANOTHER GEAGLE prediction? Cary “Mr. December/January” Williams shows up and provides some serious play to close out the season, elevating his game when it matters for the second year in a row!!!!

          • theycallmerob

boy I hope you’re right. but being more realistic than optimistic, I’m guessing we’ll be calling for his replacement in FA or the draft.
Along with Soap, I want to see upgrades over Sconces and Chung before next year starts.

          • GEAGLE

I want a star next to Wolff
            12 sack OLB

If there is room, then I would love a stud CB(but offense needs help too)..if Howie wants to make a splash for the int machine from the Titans I won’t complain…but if we get the Cary who played last December! and who every great QB tried to pick on in the playoffs and LOST then there will be better ways to use our assets..

So far we have pretty much gotten the Cary of the Ravens from Sept to November…Now it’s time to find out if we also got the Cary of the Ravens December/January SB run.,,

Considering the murders row of QB and big bodied WRs we have to beat to get to the playoffs, it’s safe to say we will get a Clear answer to our debate:
            1)Carson Fitzy/Floyd
            2) Stafford Calvin/burleson
            3) Cutler and Marshall/Jeffries
            4) Romo and Dez/Terrence

if we are going to the playoffs it means that our young RAINMAKER outdueled some serious veteran gunslingers, and our CBs stepped up and held their own against some scary WRs…I doubt we get to the playoffs without Cary making some big plays…I think his attitude and Fiestyness is extremely important to the team we are all enjoying. if his play holds up, I would think hard about losing that toughness and competitive fire…if he were here last year he woulda took Nnamdi’s lunch so he had nothing to eat in the car lol
            ..
it’s fun to debate topics that we are about to get some clear answers to…

Anyone know what happened to Dennis Kelly?
