Vick Listed As Questionable For Dallas

Even though he ruled himself out on Sunday, Michael Vick is officially listed as questionable on the Eagles’ injury report.

Vick stood side-by-side Nick Foles after Thursday’s practice and declared: “I’m not playing this week.”

After the press conference, when asked what’s realistic in terms of his return, Vick said: “Next week, maybe the week after.”

That projection is consistent with what a source close to Vick told us– that this is a three-to-four week injury. Vick, who sustained a hamstring injury against the Giants, was listed as a full participant in Friday’s practice just as he was last week.

Patrick Chung is doubtful for the Dallas game. Billy Davis revealed that the safety’s shoulder injury is nerve-related. Earl Wolff is expected to get the start opposite Nate Allen.

Chris Polk (shoulder) is doubtful. Kelly said that they had no plans of making a roster move to add a third running back (such as calling up Matthew Tucker) if Polk can’t go.

“We’ve got some guys that we’ve practiced that can play there if for some reason we went into the game with two,” said Kelly. “We have contingency plans on who can be three and who can be four.”

Jason Peters (shoulder/finger) is probable. Same for James Casey (groin) and Donnie Jones (foot).

Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware (strained quad) hasn’t practiced all week and could miss the first game of his NFL career. Owner Jerry Jones suggested the team will probable take a “conservative” approach with Ware this week. Running back DeMarco Murray (knee) could also be sidelined.

  • The part folk didn’t talk about was Kelly basically contradicted Vick in his presser. He was all “It’s day to day,” or some such thing when asked about Vick. I chuckled.

    • Roasty

Kelly took the smart approach and was trying to make Dallas prepare for both Vick and Foles. Vick threw that out the window by making that comment.

Vick’s all like, Foles will look better if Dallas hasn’t fully prepared for him, so screw that, PREPARE FOR FOLES!

I’ve been sitting on that one, looking for a good opportunity to throw that out there lol.

Meanwhile, Nick’s just been buttering Mike up for the last year and half so that Mike wouldn’t mind so much when Nick inevitably took his job. It worked.

      • I beleive he made that comment *after* Vick did his presser…I was reading an article about it. And I was like…didn’t Vick just say he was out? How are you on some “day to day.”

Nice, AZ has patrick peterson on both sides of the ball…

Also what happened to Boykin and return duties?

      • BlindChow

I bet another day like Tampa, and Boykin will be back there again.

Them both doing the presser was super lame. Golly gee everyone, were both just team guys and dont want any controversy, spread that cheese a little more. Cmon Nick, man up. Seemed like he was trying way too hard not to offend anyone. Theres that MV locker room/leader of the team presence that nobody thinks matters.
