So the coordinator and the players both had 10 days to prepare and they go out and give up the most points in 40 years. Solid. In trying to find a silver lining, I guess you could say that we don’t really give up the huge plays and make the tragi-comic mistakes like corners and safeties running into each other to give up 70 yard TDs routinely like last year, but ya… that’s about all you can say. It’s almost worse to give up so much and not really make huge mistakes, because that just means you are physically terrible at football.

Clearly, the Redskins first half was a mirage, and we are where we thought we’d be, possibly worse, going into the year. 7-9 would be a real accomplishment now. What I fear is that this gets out of hand and the worst case scenario ensues where we are flat terrible for the whole year. I’m not saying it will happen, but an outside shot at 4-12 or worse is definitely in play. No one expected Kelly to be good in year 1, but if he is absolutely deplorable, he will lose the players and that will infest the program. Again, I’m not saying that will happen, but a few more performances like Sunday and it may.

Next week is an absolute must win.

Hey Morgan. if you’re predicting 7-9 and no playoffs, Is any game a “must win?” I’m willing to burn the tape on this one. Just need to see improvement.

I think most teams that play the Broncos will burn the tape the following week
