LeSean McCoy Unable To Finish Practice

LeSean McCoy left practice early Monday because of apparent knee discomfort.

The 24-year-old back was seen working off on the side in the later portion of practice and getting stretched out by the training staff. He told a couple of reporters afterwards that his knee was bothering him.

Jason Peters, Cary Williams, Patrick Chung, Fletcher Cox and offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland all missed practice, as weather interfered with their travel plans.

Williams, who was recently married, was absent last week as well. Curtis Marsh got first-team reps opposite Bradley Fletcher in Williams’ place.

With Chung out of the picture, Kurt Coleman and Nate Allen were the first-team safeties.

“Kurt Coleman and Nate Allen were the first-team safeties.” – it’s going to be nice when we hear those words for the last time.

at least it was a no tackling practice, but, then again, arent they all for those 2

    • JofreyRice

      When will that be? 2016?

Figures those two guys are healthy as horses. Lorenzo Booker syndrome.

      • bentheimmigrant

        I was thinking Reno Mahe.

  • GumboGumbo

I sure hope it’s nothing major. Ice that knee Shady!

  • cliff henny

good lord, i just need shady to make it to sept1 in full health, no twitter battles, no baby momma bs, no 40 sprints for no reason, no party buses and i’ll be happy.

adding to ‘it’s only May 20th’ news, Foles took 1st team reps, Vick ran with 2nds.

    • OMG Foles is the greatest! He’s got the reins for the next 10 years!!!! He’ll make everyone forget about Manning and Brady by next May!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooooooooo

      • cliff henny

where’s Geagle? he’d be loosing his shit over this news!

        • Andy124

That would be ridiculously entertaining right about now.

    • Andy124

Clearly, the qb competition is over. Foles won. Now we’ll never have to debate Foles vs. Vick again. All is right in the world.

      • Jordan England

What makes you sure that Foles won? The starter probably won’t be named until week 1 after preseason. Each one will be able to prove thy are ready to take over the spot, 4 preseason games and we have 4 QB’s, (Dixon probably wot get a shot).

        • Andy124

It was completely tongue in cheek.

RE: 40-yard dash… Maybe now Vick will offer Shady a rematch?

  • eaglepete

maybe one of shadys booty calls wanted a little payback

  • Philly0312

Whats up with Phillips? Sounds to me like the guy isn’t ready to play if he can’t play over one of those two. Anyone know whats up?

    • JofreyRice

Hate to say it, but the knee is probably shot. Looks like we’ll be giving Nasty Nate one more year to prove he sucks!

      • Philly0312

Yeah – according to Philly.com he ran with the 2s. That makes me wonder still, but at least he’s at practice. Guess we just need to pray.

  • Jordan England

It’s understandable to miss practice due to weather conditions. But, when I hear those 2 names Kurt Coleman and Nate Allen it sickens me. For the worse part they won’t be cut, unless some rookies step p and prove they are better. They will be on the team for the season ad that is just terrible. Ready for them to be gone.

  • Jordan England

I am pretty sure that Chip wants the best players on the field to start. He is probably wanting to try out different players for the irate-team and having the others on second-team. Everyone can say that Foles is gonna start or Vick is gonna start, it only the month of May and we still have until September to actually see the starters on the depth chart. So just calm down I am excited as everyone else and yes, the anticipation I freaking killing me as a FAN.

Honestly I don’t like McCoy that much anyway. I’ll settle for a back that runs straight up and down and holds the ball a lot better. Brown and Jones are some tough backs.

    • GreenScabs

Holds onto the ball a lot better?? McCoy very rarely fumbles for the amount of carries he’s gotten the last 4 years, he has 8 fumbles in his entire career (6 of them he lost), that’s 8 fumbles in 835 carries. He had 4 of those 8 career fumbles (3 lost) last year in 12 games when the entire line was decimated. So before last season he had a total of 4 fumbles, losing 3 of them (losing one fumble a season from ’09 – 11′), in 680 carries, through 46 games. If you expect better than that then you’re being completely unrealistic.
