Eagles Part Ways With Senior VP McDermott

The Eagles have made another front-office move, parting ways with Senior Vice President Tim McDermott.

“Tim McDermott is no longer with the Philadelphia Eagles organization,” the Eagles said in a statement. ” Tim’s departure was amicable, and the Eagles thank him for his work, value his past contributions, and wish him well in his future endeavors.  The Eagles will not have any further comment on this matter.”

McDermott, the brother of former Eagles defensive coordinator Sean McDermott, served as the team’s Senior Director of Marketing from 2004-06 before leaving to take a job with the Washington Capitals. He returned in January of 2010 to be the Eagles’ Senior VP/Chief Marketing Officer. The Lansdale native currently lives in West Chester with his wife and two children.

“The Eagles and I have parted on amicable terms,” said McDermott in a statement.  “I have nothing but good things to say about the Eagles and the people I worked with, and wish the team the best as I pursue some exciting opportunities.”

Less than a week ago, the Eagles fired Senior Vice President of Communications Rob Zeiger.
