Vick Absent Again; It’s the Nick Foles Show

Michael Vick missed practice again on Friday as he recovers from what has been described as a significant concussion. He has been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

As anticipated, Nick Foles will get his first career start against the Redskins.

Danny Watkins (ankle) practiced for a third consecutive day and is officially questionable. Dennis Kelly, who played right guard in his absence, has been getting reps at right tackle this week and may be called upon Sunday.

Jason Avant (hamstring), Mardy Gilyard (hamstring) and Chris Polk (toe) are all listed as out.

    ok ..conspiracy theory question–>
since i dont and would NEVER trust andy reid for 1 second .. i need to ask:
how the heck did vick get such a significant concusion that play?? didtn look so bad from my usual post in front of the tv in the ‘ready to yell at tv’ stance in my living room.
we’ve all seen him take many many worse shots i wouldve thought!
not to mention, (even tho i am), that this was one of his frustrating planned forward run & dive plays since he refuses to sllide for some du mbass reason of his very own .. but i digress
–is there some behind the scenes conspiracy snow job scam plan orchstrated team lie that is being carried out ?? maybe insurance reasons or trade reasons ??
..i mean, i think NO WAY would Mike VIck be complicent in a stupid sham plan like this .. BUT ANDY WOULD!
ok, pls initiate ripping me to bits .thnks

I like you man, but you’re crazy.

This is great. But in reality i think he probably suffered a minor concussion on the dive but then on the next play fell backwards and bit the back of his head. The combination of the two is what probably did him in. I like your perspective though.

      lets see more inuries!!!!!!!!! lol
Lurie hedged slightly when he said “8-8 due to an excess of injuries might be different,” but then he added he expects one player in particular to stay healthy.

Asked later about a spate of injuries or something like that, Lurie later said, “I’m not going to make blanket statements…I guess if two-thirds of the team is not playing, there’s always exceptions.”
