Report: Eagles ‘Intrigued’ By Olympian Demps


Jeff Demps was part of USA’s 4×100-meter relay team, which won a silver medal at the London Olympics.

Now, according to NFL.com, he’s ready to take a shot at the NFL.

Demps (5-7, 191) played his college football at Florida. In his four-year career, he ran 367 times for 2,470 yards and 23 touchdowns, averaging 6.7 yards per carry. He also had 57 catches for 481 yards, averaging 8.4 yards per reception. And Demps was used as a return man also.

While admitting it’s a long shot, a team official tells Reuben Frank of CSNPhilly.com that the Eagles are “intrigued” with the possibility of adding Demps.

He is an undrafted free agent, meaning Demps is allowed to sign with any team.
