Down to Eagles, Patriots for Shiancoe

Veteran tight end Visanthe Shiancoe is currently negotiating with the Eagles and Patriots to figure out where he’ll spend the 2012 season, according to Steve Wyche of NFL.com.

A deal could be finalized Tuesday night.

The Eagles are clearly looking to add a veteran tight end to push Clay Harbor and provide depth behind Brent Celek. I offered up some thoughts on Shiancoe in yesterday’s post.
