Say “4.3” around the typical NBA locker room, and most of the players will think you’re talking about their assists-per-game average or the number of women by whom they’ve fathered kids. But 4.3 was Thaddeus Young’s high-school GPA, and in his rookie season he showed, with his smarts and athletic ability, that he’s a player worth watching.
