Philly HotDog Cafe

We’ve never had a better wiener than the meaty, hickory-smoked Vienna Beef brand on the grill at this sunny storefront. There are lots of options — the New Yorker with chili and fried onions, the Classic Corn Dog, the Limerick Dog with nuclear hot sauce and blue cheese, even a Philly Dog with ­cheesesteak meat, fried onions and provolone cheese. But we prefer something simpler: the Texas Tommy of our youth, slathered with cheddar cheese and bacon.
