Best of Philly 2009: Barbecue

We’ve been inundated recently with barbecue joints: Jimmy’s in Frazer, Dante’s in West Philly, Q in Old City. Most do a few things well, while falling way short in others. But this welcome six-seat addition to the Italian Market nails most of its menu. Best bets: the succulent dry-rubbed ribs, the Carolina-style pulled pork sandwich, truly sinful (and we do mean sinful) baked mac-and-cheese, the complimentary sweet tea, and the delightful mini sweet-potato pies. You’ll eat two.
