Two Cherubs

Sure, there’s treasure-hunting in Lambertville. But for a quick browse of yester-centuries’ fine French furnishings, Two Cherubs is thoroughly satisfying in an unfussy, not-­overwhelming way. Part of the appeal is owner Jenny Lunney, whose clients have come to depend on her for her sophisticated taste and eye, both of which she puts to good use traversing France several times a year to score items such as 19th-century gilt mirrors, a green velvet 1865 chaise lounge, and a 17th-century buffet found in Béziers. Plus — because who doesn’t love to mix and match the centuries? — we love the new-er items, like 1920s enamelware and mid-20th-century tea towels.
