Raya Haig Salon is dead; long live Haig & Co., with tress guru Alan Gold at the helm as creative director. When Raya Yukhimov and Haig Khararjian parted ways last year, Gold stayed on at the newly named and newly polished Haig & Co. — where he continues to carry off his note-perfect C&C’s, teaching his staff to do the same. Longtime fans delight in his updates to a faded decor — a gilding of the reception area, privatizing of the stations — and even the newest patrons are breathing easier, knowing they can look as glamorous and important as, say, the beauty editor of W, who recently asked Gold to execute her wedding-day hair.
