Some quality independent plus-size boutiques have recently opened in the area, making it hard to choose our favorite, but Fresh Ayer’s Banana-meets-Anthro-esque aesthetic and designer duds for sizes 10 to 24 push it to the top of the list. Parsons grad and owner Elizabeth Ayerle has outfitted the pretty space with the best brands for curvier customers — Abby Z, Kiyonna, Svoboda — and an expansive denim section that helps all us fruit-shaped girls be proud of our apple bottoms.
