Someone forgot to tell the pastry chef at Nineteen that this city lives on crme brûle and molten chocolate cake. An excellent oversight. Instead of the usual, finales here include dramatically deconstructed carrot cake, a delicate steamed lemon genoise (the result is halfway between a pudding and a cupcake), and a trippy take on the banana split. The banana crme brûle at the bottom is as close to classic as the menu gets.
