The collections here span the world, but its the mummies that kids remember. For many of us, this is where we first saw dead people and though they might be shriveled, theyre undeniably human, somebody, a guy just like you, whose stomach probably rumbled at lunchtime, and now hes here in this glass case, and youre staring at him, which is really creepy, because, you know, hes been dead for, like, 5,000 years, and they pulled his brain out of his head through his nose.
