When Square residents reminisce about the bagels they used to get at Rittenhouse Market—small, chewy rounds a world away from the pillowy bagels popular these days—they’re talking about Roling’s. Thankfully, the hand-formed bagels can still be found in the bins at Roling’s small basement bakery in Elkins Park—and early on Friday mornings at Maxx’s Produce near Rittenhouse.
