Sometimes, Jessie Menken’s new home/children’s boutique in Fairmount is just a place to buy a carefully selected housewarming gift or a funky pair of baby socks. But Ali’s Wagon can be much, much more. In a cozy lounge area in back, Menken’s parenting center welcomes new and expecting moms, who sometimes stay for hours to chat, learn birthing techniques, swap breastfeeding woes, or just meet others like them.
