Govinda's Gourmet Vegetarian

Horizons on 7th delighted us when it opened last year with a menu of creative upscale vegan dishes, but it only whetted the city’s appetite for vegetarian destinations. The veg set still craved the kind of informal place you can go every night. Now there’s Govinda’s Gourmet To Go, a bright storefront offshoot of the more formal and less enticing sit-down Govinda’s next door. We know many a carnivore who frequents this spot for fantastic “chicken” cheesesteaks, pepper “steaks,” “tuna” wraps, and actual veggies sandwiches, like the Indian-spiced Sabji wrap.
