Best of Philly 2007: Toy Source, City

Will-n-Essie’s Toybrary

Church of the Holy Trinity Rittenhouse Square, 1904 Walnut Street, third floor
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
http://htrit.org/toylibrary.html

Will-n-Essie’s Toybrary is so exactly what we needed, it’s hard to believe no one did it before: a room full of almost new, unusual toys for kids six months and up, for which you don’t have to spend gazillions of dollars. Instead, for $50 a year, you can borrow toys for two weeks at a time — which is pretty much as long as a toddler finds any toy interesting anyway. Started in January, the toy library is perfect for city parents with smallish houses, busy lifestyles, and an aversion to clutter.
