Best of Philly 2007: Theater Talent
Ben Dibble
|
When the Barrymore Awards gave their $10,000 prize to then-28-year-old University of the Arts alum Ben Dibble last year, they confirmed what we already knew: Ben Dibble is, well, the shit. He can sing. He can act. He can sing and act simultaneously. And, in a true exhibit of Philadelphian can-do spirit, he can jam 10 quarters up his schnozz, though not while simultaneously singing and acting. We first fell in love with him a few years ago when he was the misunderstood, lovelorn Bat Boy, and he has continued to charm us in Sweeney Todd at the Arden, Lanterns La Ronde and The Taming of the Shrew, and Delaware Theatres A Murder, A Mystery & A Marriage. Check him out this fall as he takes on the role of Lee Harvey Oswald in Assassins at the Arden.
