Cape May Seashore Lines

The recently refurbished Cape May Seashore Lines train takes you from the beach to Cape May Courthouse, home of the county’s surprisingly worthwhile (free) zoo, a decent day-trip excursion about 10 miles inland. But the 22-mile round trip — in classic railroad cars, with views of the lovely South Jersey countryside — is itself a great way to break up a day at the beach, especially for your favorite Thomas the Tank Engine-obsessed tyke.
