Best of Philly 2007: Happy Hour
Rae
|
We feel only a tiny twinge of guilt when we make our second (or third) pass at the butlered hors doeuvres that Rae offers from 4 to 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday and Friday. The goodies might include cheese fondue, charcuterie meats and specialty cheeses (such as the truffle-flecked sottocenere), and chef Daniel Sterns legendary chicken wings. Tasty and plentiful as this is, were still willing to plunk down $10 for a dish of the awesome smoked rabbit nachos with jalapeño creme fraîche from the bar menu. Sprung from their cubicles in this angular skyscraper next to Amtraks 30th Street Station, a youthful crowd makes merry with Yuengling, cosmos, and wine specials by the glass.
