Florentine-tiled Il Bar is the place for curious wine-drinkers. Home to one of the world's largest wine-preservation and dispensing systems, it offers 120 wines "on tap" — by the taste (three ounces) or by the glass (five ounces) — daily, with helpfully prearranged wine 'flights' (five 1.5-ounce sips ) for neophytes, who can delve into the wide world of whites with the 'Anything but Chardonnay' flight, and oenophiles who want to compare first-growth wines. And the list changes weekly, with more than 800 different offerings last year, including a soaring flight of Angelo Gaja wines.
