Best of Philly 2004 Late-Night Dining

The Old City sidewalk late at night seems unfit for any foodstuff other than pizza, but Fork manages to keep its wits with a late-night menu on offer until 1 a.m. There is the inevitable bowl of mussels, and a less predictable salad of grilled sardines over fennel; all is well-executed, and the cheese plate is one of the city's most original.
